Acquisitions

Acquisition philosophy

Cibes Lift Group has a clear and ambitious acquisition strategy focused on strengthening our presence in both existing and new markets around the world. While we see strong organic growth opportunities in our existing markets, the global lift market is highly fragmented, which offers a good basis for the acquisition of strong and entrepreneur driven companies.

What we look for

We look for small to medium-sized companies with their own installation capacity, expertise in maintenance and repairs, and dedicated sales personnel.

What we value

We value opportunities that offer financial attractiveness, align with our people and cultural values, demonstrate strategic fit, and showcase significant synergy potential to drive mutual success.

What we offer

We offer market leadership, innovation with a strong product offering, central support and network, all underpinned by stability and long-term ownership.

Considering selling your business?

Cibes Lift Group is one of the world’s most innovative manufacturers of space-saving lifts designed for fast and easy installation. Our versatile lifts suit public, commercial, and private spaces, with a global network for sales, installation, and maintenance services. Acquired companies are integrated as part of Cibes Lift Group, and through acquisitions, we gain proximity to customers who were previously out of reach.

Will your business be the next to join us?

Acquisition process

We are looking for strong business with strong local knowledge that can leverage the strength of Cibes Lift Group to grow in their market. Our process for mergers and acquisitions consists of three steps: Origination, Execution and Integration.

1

step 1

Origination

This step is all about getting to know each other – we want to know who you are and you want to know who we are. In our first meeting, we want to understand you, your business model, and your culture better. This step typically also includes a site visit where we visit you to learn more about your daily operations.

Signs of commitment during step 1:

  • A mutual confidentiality agreement (Non-Disclosure Agreement, NDA)
  • A non-binding offer (Letter of Intent, LOI)

Timeframe

3-6 months

2

step 2

Execution

In this step, we conduct comprehensive analyses, typically involving due diligence by third-party advisors, identification of key risks along with their mitigations, and identification of areas for improvement.

Signs of commitment during step 2:

  • Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA)
  • Legal completion of the acquisition via payment of purchase price and transfer of shares or assets

Timeframe

3-6 months

3

step 3

Integration

Once signing and closing is completed, Cibes Lift Group initiates the integration process. Our main priority is ensuring a smooth transition in 100 days or less to ensure that acquired companies are welcomed in to the Group as quickly as possible.

Timeframe

100 Days
